Sell-out event returns for a ‘BLACKOUT’ edition.
After a wildly successful sell-out event, Strip Her: The Pop-Up (formerly Celebrate Her), is back! The revolutionary pop-up strip show is returning to BodySpace Studios in Marrickville on Saturday June 10th 2023 for a ‘blackout’ edition, which means no photography, no phones, no records - only what happens live in the moment.
In this strip show, it’s the guests who take to the stage and unleash their best stripper moves to an audience of cheering women, all in the name of women’s empowerment. Instead of tipping with money, the women praise each other with notes of affirmation. It’s #womensupportingwomen with a little extra cheek!
Created by Caitlin Erica, a feminine embodiment coach, birth doula, and former stripper, this one-of-a-kind experience celebrates body positivity, unbridled expression, and sisterhood. It is open to all women aged 18 and over and no previous dance experience is necessary. Nobody is forced to take the stage but all are encouraged to give it a go.
“When I began working in strip clubs in Berlin, my eyes were opened to the power of a woman’s sensuality in a way I never knew existed. I kept thinking ‘more women need to experience this!’ but I also wanted to create a space where women could unleash their sensuality without it needing to go anywhere; without any expectations or transactions.” says Caitlin Erica.
Strip Her: The Pop-Up is an opportunity for women to freely explore and express their femininity and sensuality in a safe and supportive environment. It's a chance for women to feel empowered in a part of themselves they’re used to having to downplay or hide.
